A single measurement defines the tree Size that best fits your horse’s morphology.
For ERIC THOMAS HYBRID and NORTON PRO saddles
– Step 1: To obtain an accurate measurement, position your saddle correctly on your horse. Mark the location of the screws under the saddle on your horse’s back.
– Step 2: Remove the saddle and place the tree gauge perpendicularly on the mark.
– Step 3: Slide the tree gauge down until both contact surfaces are resting on the horse and a measurement can be taken.
– Step 4: The tree gauge indicates the tree Size/color to be used for your horse. We recommend repeating this process 3 to 4 times per year.
