The colostrum measurer can determine the amount of immunoglobins present in the colostrum.
This allows you to determine the quality of the colostrum in a quick and easy way. When the colostrum quality is good (1045 and up) you can freeze it for later use.
Reading & result
Colostrum with SG (Specific Gravity) less than 1035 (red zone) = poor amount of immunoglobulins.
SG between 1035 – 1045 (light green zone) = average amount of immunoglobulins.
SG above 1045 (dark green zone) = good amount of immunoglobulins.
